Is being effeminate more acceptable if you come out gay or transgender?

If you act in an effeminate way before and people did not your sexuality. Did coming out means that people could understand what you are and where you are coming from? Which could means there could may be there come to terms with your behavior? I mean if you were acting effeminate people were unsure of you, is knowing someone is effeminate because of their sexuality better? I feel at times if a person does not know I acting in certain way than it is harder for them to come to terms with it.
