Punishments for 6 year old?
My step son is 6, going on 7. His mom and stepdad have told me things they do that work at home to punish him (we have him during the week right now whereas usually he's just with us on the weekends.) I take care of him and his older sister while their dad is at work during the day and even though I've been caring for him since before he was 2, it's like he's suddenly forgotten how to listen to me. I've tried EVERYTHING with him. From sending him to his room (it's enjoyable or a good time to nap for him so he doesn't care.) to raising my voice (which redirects him for a while but then I have to do it again when he starts acting up again and it just hurts my throat.) I've tried time-outs with nose in the corner to sitting on the couch and not being able to play to even letting his sister take care of it when he hurts her. Nothing is working and I'm out of ideas. As a step-mom I don't feel comfortable spanking and while I may do it when my own child is old enough and misbehaving like he is, I honestly don't think it would even work with my stepson. Recently I've been making him run laps around our backyard (not that big) but it seems like he dreads doing it but doesn't really care that he has to when he does get in trouble. I guess what I'm looking for is creative (non corporal) punishments that will work for a child who seems not to care when he does get in trouble. Any ideas?
How does Romeo change after seeing Juliet?
He is animated and decisive and realizes that love prior had been infatuation and what he feels for Juliet is real.
Are people more shocked by masculine gay men coming out than effeminate gay men?
Yes, because in our rather sexist society, men are "expected" to be masculine and any man who has more feminine traits are often assumed to be gay. It's just a stupid stereotype though.

Should I let it bother me?
My boyfriend and I have been having problems recently, and one of the most drastic is his relationship with another girl. He never physically cheated on me, but their constant flirting and talking struck me as a little more than friendship... (she would sit on his lap, stick her hands up his shirt and tickle him, and once went so far as to call me an estranged lover) I immediately went to him and told me how much his relationship with her bothered me, and he ignored it and kept on acting the same way. I then told him again, this time threatening that I wouldn't be able to stay with him if he kept doing this, because to me, it felt very much like betrayal. Eventually, he realized how much it hurt me that he was carrying on this relationship with her and promised he would never speak to her again, something that I didn't put him up to. I was surprised, but I took it in stride. So far, he has done very well and been very honest about everything, which I really value because I have issues trusting him. Yesterday, he told me that she had called him and they had a brief conversation about something trivial. However, today, we were sitting together when he saw that he had a missed call. He checked the phone number, and when he did, I saw that he had an outgoing call to this girl. He had called her yesterday. I feel very betrayed and lied to, but according to him, she called him and he missed the phone call, so decided to call her back. That wouldn't bother me, but I don't know whether to believe him. She texted him and he ignored her, but he feels compelled to return her call? I don't know whether I should let it bother me, given my previous experience with her, or if I should just let it go. I'm just worried because he felt he had to lie to me, and it makes me wonder whether he has really been honest all this time. Especially because he recently confessed to me that, had we not been together, he would have considered her for a romantic relationship. What should I do? Should I let the lie about the phone call slide?
Married friend not acting married?
I'm 22 and so is my married friend. Shes been married since she was 18 and her husband is in the marines. He signed up shortly after getting married against her wishes. I think she got married too young and is now trying to party. Her husband is currently at a base in another state. I have a lot of guy friends that I hang out with. When we go out my friend drinks only a few drinks and says shes trashed and gets all over the guys we are with. She gives them lap dances, and says nasty things to them, and dances inappropriately on them. She even exchanges numbers with them. She says her husband doesn't care what she does bc he knows she won't do anything. I know all she wants is the attention but its getting annoying. We can't go out with anyone anymore without her being all over them. She even asked me if I was interested in one of the guys and thats the one she likes to be all over the most. I even suggested not hanging out with them anymore but theres one guy she wants to continue hanging out with. I don't know how to tell her its getting annoying or tell her that what she does is inappropriate without her getting upset at me.
