Why do i like being called gay?

I'm a boy and i'm straight but i'm effeminate (no i don't crossdress) i wear unisex clothes and have long hair that touches my collar and my bangs cover my eyes and eyebrows and forehead and most of my friends are girls but everyone mistakes me for a girl and thinks i'm gay but i like being called gay why do i like it? But i'm not gay! I have a crush on a girl at school. Oh and why do people say all the polite guys are gay? Like when me and a girl were up going to get textbooks at the same time and so just to be polite because it was the polite thing to do i grabbed a textbook for her and gave it to her and she said "Thankyou that was sweet!" and i was called gay by all the boys. And once i told my friend (a different friend) i would take a bullet for her because it would hurt more to see her get shot and she said "Thanks it was sweet" and had a big smile on her face and once again the boys called me a gay pussy why?
