Why Greeks find Achaemenid Persians effeminate?
Is there written account that the Greek soldiers, when they first encountered the Achaemenid Persians, perceived them to be effeminate? Was it because both Persian men and women wore the same clothing, i.e. the pants (or pajamas)?
