Why is it that society prejudges and hates males that are effeminate, gay or otherwise?

It is sick how people lay such an attack on LGBT people. And considering that humans are not the only species who can be gay, I don’t think they choose to be this way. Really, people like you need professional help. And society who judges these groups should sort out their priorities and not worry about gay/lesbian people and come up with ways to prevent more serious issues such as animal cruelty and child abuse.
