Is selective breeding the reason for 'beautiful/girly' looking Asian men?

I have noticed that Asians like all cultures value beautiful people. The men in their entertainment industries tend to be a somewhat unnerving mixture of feminine and masculine facial features on a very male/masculine body. I love Asian men (the everyday guy as well as celebs) and do not find them effeminate in behavior. I am just very curious as to why they look this way and why it is valued in their society for men to look this way.
